Giving Tuesday 2025: Honoring Veterans and Preserving Legacies Through Wreaths Across America

Giving Tuesday is a global day dedicated to generosity, service, and giving back to our communities. In 2025, Inspired Estate Planning, LLC chose to honor Giving Tuesday by sponsoring wreaths for Wreaths Across America, a nationwide nonprofit dedicated to remembering and honoring the men and women who served in the United States Armed Forces.

As part of this effort, on December 13, 2025, I will have the privilege of personally laying wreaths at the Veterans National Cemetery in Higginsville, Missouri, an honored yearly tradition since my grandpa’s passing in 2017. Standing among the rows of headstones, each marked with a name, a rank, and a story, is always a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by so many, and of the responsibility we all share to ensure those sacrifices are never forgotten.

Why Wreaths Across America Matters to Me

This mission is deeply personal.

My father, both of my grandfathers, and both of my maternal grandmothers’ brothers served in the military. All of them have since passed away. In addition, two of my uncles are living veterans who also answered the call to serve our country. Their service, and the sacrifices that came with it, shaped my family, my values, and my understanding of duty, responsibility, and legacy. Participating annually in Wreaths Across America is one small way to honor not only my own family members who served, but also the countless veterans whose families may no longer be able to stand at their graves and say their names aloud. Each wreath placed is a promise that their service is remembered and respected.

Legacy, Remembrance, and Estate Planning

As an estate planning law firm, much of Inspired Estate Planning, LLC’s work centers on legacy, helping individuals and families protect what matters most, honor loved ones, and ensure their values carry forward to future generations. Supporting Wreaths Across America aligns closely with that purpose. Legacy is not just about assets or documents. It is about remembrance, gratitude, and intentional stewardship. Honoring veterans through this program reflects the same principles I encourage my clients to consider when planning for the future: how they want to be remembered, what values they want to pass on, and how their lives have made an impact.

A Commitment Beyond Giving Tuesday

Wreaths Across America Day is a solemn and meaningful tradition, made possible by volunteers and donors across the country who believe that remembering our veterans is a year-round responsibility, not just a holiday gesture.

Inspired Estate Planning, LLC is proud to have supported this mission on Giving Tuesday 2025, and grateful for the opportunity to give back in a way that reflects respect, service, and remembrance. Most importantly, I personally and on behalf of Inspired Estate Planning, LLC, extend deepest thanks to all the veterans who served, the families who supported them, and the communities that continue to honor their legacy.

Inspired Estate Planning, LLC remains committed to serving clients and the community with the same care, integrity, and respect, on Giving Tuesday and every day.
